Amberula Daniel Barros
Amarula is a cream liqueur made with sugar and marula – a fruit which is typical to the subequatorial Africa with the size of an apricot, light yellow color, and citrus/nutty flavor. The name "Amarula" was patented by its inventors – Southern Liqueur Company of South Africa – in 1989. Its symbol is the elephant, an animal common to the region and that regularly feed from the vitamin C rich fruit. Orientalula reproduces the South African drink’s acid and juicy, sweet and caramel facets with the use of notes of mandarin, apricot, amber and various resins. Lavender, ylang-ylang and patchouli nuances provide brightness and elegance.
