"At the last Impressionist Exhibition, held in 1886, Berthe Morisot presented eleven oil paintings, one of them showing a very intimate moment of a woman's daily toilette. Called "The Great Lady of Painting" for her efforts to capture the sensations of vision through a complex network of broken brushstrokes, she placed it at the forefront of her time.
